Thank you…
We’re pleased you’ve purchased one of our nutrient gel pots. Our hydroponic (soilless) pots are designed to keep your herbs fresher for longer using less water.
Light…
Keep your pot out of harsh, direct sun. A bright window ledge is ideal and will allow your herb to continue to thrive.
Water…
Top up your pot by adding tap or purified water through the hole at the top where the stems come out. When the nutrient gels begin to shrink or your herb starts to wilt, it’s time to top up!
Harvest…
Consume the healthiest leaves from the bottom up. To maintain your herb’s ability to grow, avoid removing more than half of the foliage at one time.
Remove…
Pinch off any flower buds that form to encourage more leaves. Remove any browning or damaged leaves. Treat pests with a spray bottle containing water and a few drops of washing up liquid or an organic pesticide such as neem oil.
Recycle…
Recycle the pot and lid as you would a standard PET water bottle. Nutrient gels may be added to other potting mixes or garden soil to boost the water retention quality. Gels will safely breakdown over time and continue to release nutrients.
