(Ocimum basilicum) Otherwise known as Great Basil or Basil Genovese, this culinary herb of the family Lamiaceae (mints) is popular in cuisines around the world. Basil is an excellent source of potassium, magnesium, iron, vitamin C and calcium. Here in the Philippines, Basil will bolt (go to seed) very quickly which should be discouraged by pinching out any flower buds. This will encourage further leaf growth. Our parent plants are grown hydroponically from diverse seed stock.

Roots will likely be present at the time of purchase but can take an additional 1-3 weeks to form at which time the cuttings may be transferred to soil if desired. Some cuttings may not develop roots due to external factors which is normal with any plant propagation.
